About Ed Barrie
Ed Barrie is a career corporate treasurer with more than two decades of experience building data-driven treasury organizations and leading global teams through technology, process, and standards transformations.
Ed began working with ISO 20022 in 2008 while on Microsoft’s Treasury team, where George Zinn challenged the group to use technology, connectivity, and structured data to improve visibility, efficiency, and control. That challenge shaped Ed’s approach to treasury for the rest of his career.
He went on to implement PAIN.001/002 and CAMT.053/052 via Swift FileAct at Itron, and later integrated ISO 20022 messages into ERP and TMS ecosystems at Tableau Software. Across each environment, he focused on turning richer payment and reporting data into better reconciliation, forecasting, compliance, and decision-making outcomes.
Today, as Chief Product Officer at Treasury4, Ed applies that practitioner experience to building modern, data-first treasury tools. He works directly with corporate treasurers to solve the real-world challenges they face: fragmented data, opaque workflows, regulatory pressure, and the growing expectations created by standards like ISO 20022.
